On arrival at Livingstone Airport, you will be met and transferred by scheduled transfer to the Lodge.
Set inside the Mosi Oa Park, and located just 15 kms upstream from Victoria Falls, Thorntree blends naturally into the riverine vegetation and commands superb river views from its main deck and private verandas. In the grounds there is a swimming pool with water level bar and thatched lapa that overlooks a waterhole. Guests have the added bonus of being able to visit the elephant boma to watch the elephants being trained and fed - this gives a great insight into elephant behaviour. Thorntree`s riverside location allows for a wide choice of activities including sunset cruises, game drives, fishing, cultural tours and a visit to the Zambian side of the Falls.
An activity is included for each night stayed at the lodge, and so depending on your arrival time on Day 1, you may be able to opt for one of the following today - Sunset Cruise, Game Drive, Victoria Falls Visit.

Two full days are spent at the lodge, in a standard chalet with en suite facilities, on a full board basis. An activity is included each day - and you can choose between a tour of the Falls, sunset cruise or game drive.
Please note that Park Fees of US$10 pp per Park entry must be paid locally.
The sunset cruise takes you along the Zambezi. If lucky, you should be able to see an array of bird life, hippos, elephants, monitor lizards and perhaps even a rhino.
During your free time there are many optional activities available in and around the lodge and the mighty Victoria Falls. Perhaps try an elephant back safari, or a highly recommended walk in Livingstone National Park in search of the rare white rhino. Alternatively try one of the many adrenaline activities available here such as bungee jumping, white-water rafting, a microlight flight over the falls or perhaps a more sedate helicopter flight. Whatever you choose, the staff at the lodge will be able to assist you.
