Today is the joining day in Johannesburg, “City of Gold”. You will be met at the airport or your hotel for the transfer to Kololo which is about a 3-4 hour drive. On arrival at Kololo, there will be an introduction for the kids. They are given a booklet which will guide them during their stay and where different activities get signed off. It shows how to identify certain animals and the tracks they leave behind. Then it is time to take in the view and let the charm of the view start doing its work! Depending on arrival time, there will be an afternoon game drive on Kololo Game Reserve. Then Bush stories before bed time! Early in the morning we take a Big 5 drive in Welgevonden. Driving through the stunning bushveld it's always a game to see who can spot the animals first. The 40000 Hectare reserve has a wide variety of game and stunning landscapes. Breakfast is in the bush!
In the afternoon there is a Children's programme, with a walking safari with a ranger where the children learn to identify tracks, dung and different mammals and birds. Interactive games allow for gaining knowledge in a playful manner. Adults are more than welcome to join in, or they can relax back at the lodge.
