Kololo Bushveld Adventure Safari Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Johannesburg to Kololo

Today is the joining day in Johannesburg, “City of Gold”. You will be met at the airport or your hotel for the transfer to Kololo which is about a 3-4 hour drive. On arrival at Kololo, there will be an introduction for the kids. They are given a booklet which will guide them during their stay and where different activities get signed off. It shows how to identify certain animals and the tracks they leave behind. Then it is time to take in the view and let the charm of the view start doing its work! Depending on arrival time, there will be an afternoon game drive on Kololo Game Reserve. Then Bush stories before bed time! Kololo Game Reserve is situated in the beautiful province of Limpopo, South Africa, in the heart of the Waterberg biosphere. Vast, peaceful and incredibly beautiful, this is a fascinating destination with a rich cultural legacy and a natural splendor. A malaria-free area and home to a large variety of game, Kololo is a perfect safari destination. Visit neighbouring reserves and view the Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, or enjoy a sneak preview over the fence, from the comfort of your chalet at Kololo. Accommodation features twelve upmarket chalets positioned in the pristine bushveld so privacy and relaxation is guaranteed. Kololo is a popular Limpopo game reserve and is conveniently situated only 3 hours from Johannesburg International Airport.

In the afternoon there is a Children's programme, with a walking safari with a ranger where the children learn to identify tracks, dung and different mammals and birds. Interactive games allow for gaining knowledge in a playful manner. Adults are more than welcome to join in, or they can relax back at the lodge.

Day 3: Cheetah Project and Bambela Animal Shelter Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Todays full day programme includes a visit to the Cheetah Project and Bambela Animal Shelter. For parents and kids together, this is a great way to see the big cats up close. Or just have a relaxed day and linger at the pool, enjoying the animals that may walk past whilst sipping a cool cocktail In the afternoon the kids get a chance to show their newly taught skills to the parents and go practice their talent at archery.
